About Adrienne Eliades

Work Adrienne makes and why it stood out to me:

Adrienne Eliades creates work inspired by confetti, candy and games. She uses a pattern that uses celebration and enjoyment. I was drawn to her pottery because of the unique pattern and colors she uses. I also like that some of her pieces look to be used daily and other pieces look like they could be used at events like birthdays or holidays.

Work by Adrienne: Unique structure, color and patterns.

Arcade pattern tiered vase. Looking at the tiered vase it has a very unique shape which makes it appear to have texture from the naked eye. The pattern used is called arcade and it is a repetition over the whole piece even though the colors are different on each tier. The scale of the piece is larger on the bottom and gets smaller towards the top of the vase. The focal point of the piece would be the bottom because it’s the biggest part or the middle because she used a different underglaze on the middle tier probably to create visual texture. This abstract structure would make a great centerpiece with red roses in the vase to create more of a pop of color.
